Visit Nawadankulama Tank situated between Chilaw and Puttalam, and is frequented by both local and migratory birds.

Highlights: Visit Nawadankulama Tank.

Stay at Hotel Sinharagama Resort and SPA or similar.

Bird watching at Anawilundawa Bird Sanctuary.

One of the six wetlands of international importance in Sri Lanka, Anawilundawa is situated between the two largest towns in the country, Chilaw and Puttalam.

Transfer to Habarana.

Highlights: Visit Anawilundawa Bird Sanctuary.

Stay at Oak Ray Elephant Lake Hotel

Bird safari at Kaudulla National Park in the morning.

Kaudulla is one of the most visited destinations for bird watching.

Transfer to Kandy. Enroute visit Ranwali Spice Garden, Matale.

Visit Udawatta Kale Sanctuary in the morning.

This sanctuary covers almost 104 hectares (257 acres). Udawattakele was declared as a forest reserve in 1856 by the British.

Transfer to Nuwara Eliya.

Stay at Oak Ray Summer Hill Breeze Hotel

In the morning, bird watching at Horton Plains.

This is the only place where 21 endemic bird species are found.
